Table Top and Boundary Mapping

These paintings on paper are a middle ground between sketching/drawing an idea and painting. Many such paintings were formed during the process of producing the body of work know as Searching for Eden. These paintings are more instantaneous, more singular in their content - more like a quick note rather than an essay. Yet in there essence they are the backbone of ideas around the boundaries of domesticity, my physical body and the spaces I occupied literally and in my memory.

Table Top and Boundary Mapping paintings have been shown as part of solo shows in Adam Gallery Cork Street London and Bath, The Art Centre Newtonards.

The method of working simultaneously on smaller sketch paintings along side other larger work has become a key aspect of my practice, enabling me to maintain a fluidity of working and an intensity of concentration during the making process.
