Searching For Eden

This is a body of work that is made up of singular remembrances. They picture places, spaces or objects but not literally. They are the memory of them. They contain the essence of, not only the ‘thing’, but my recollection of that ‘thing’ - thereby they are more representative of feelings, meanings and happenings that they link with. These paintings are the conscious start of ‘memory’ as subject. Whilst making this work, I also made a series of smaller more instant images on paper these are referred to as boundary or table top paintings.

Searching For Eden is a body of work that was exhibited at The Battleground Gallery Newtownards. This was accompanied with a catalogue and a forward constructed from an in-depth interview written by ………..

Much of the work then made up a solo show at Adam Gallery Cork Street London and Adam Gallery Bath as ‘Entering In’. This has also been catalogued by Adam Gallery Bath.
